The Daybreak Project
An independent evidence archive on the origin and harms of COVID-19

The record outlasts the story.

Primary-source records on the pandemic: grant files, emails, contracts, court filings, and the data on what the response did to people. Each one verified, hashed, permanently cited, and open to anyone.

The full archive opens in 2027. Research publications are listed now.

Three programs. One standard.

The same record, in the same form, on the same terms, to every reader and every public authority.

01

Archive

Primary sources, authenticated at intake, hashed, and citable by permanent identifier. Full text, metadata, and chain of custody published with every holding.

Why Daybreak exists

The evidence is scattered, and some of it is no longer where it was published.

The pandemic produced an enormous body of public evidence: grant files, emails, contracts, court records, and the data on what the response did to people. It sits across agencies, inboxes, and dockets, behind dead links and in formats that do not last. The Daybreak Project gathers those records, verifies each one, assigns it a permanent identifier and a cryptographic hash, and publishes it where anyone can read it and check it.

We do not characterize motives. We do not take positions on candidates or legislation. We state what the documents show, cite the holding, and stop.

The record outlasts the story.
How a record enters the archive
01
Intake
The record receives a permanent identifier and a SHA-256 hash the moment it arrives.
02
Provenance
Source, date, and chain of custody are recorded. Unknowns are stated, not papered over.
03
Publication
Full text, metadata, and hash go public. Any redaction is logged and explained.
04
Access
The same record, in the same form, to any authority or reader. No exclusive access.
